New Windsor Community Day is August 24, 2019! These are some general questions and answers. As always, feel free to let us know if you have anymore. For a complete list of events visit:
Do I have to live in New Windsor to attend?
NO! We welcome our friends, family and neighbors from ALL our surrounding Communities! Come on out and spend a great day with your family and friends.
How do I get there?
Parking & Admission
There is no charge for parking or admission! We have a large amount of parking at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park, and we'll have shuttles running from Cornwall High School and Meadowbrook Lodge right down the road starting at 11am. Follow live on facebook all day long on the August 24th for updates on parking. We have a crew of 20 people manning the parking lots all day long, so we make sure everything goes nice and smoothly!
At Community Day we have a good amount of handicap parking, but with the amount of people it does fill up. At that point, we'll meet you in the general parking with a golf cart and shuttle you right down to Community Day! Just let the person know at the gate you need a handicap parking. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID PERMIT.
Special Parking Note:
At 8:15pm we'll no longer allow cars into the park for safety reasons, as we shut off all the lights for the fireworks. You'll be directed to Cornwall High School at this point. This is for all our visitors safety! Get here early!
While we all love our pets, please leave your furry friends at home for the safety of all our visitors. Service animals are allowed.
We have two full bathroom facilities at the park, see the map below. There are mens, womens, and a family restroom under our large pavilion, and mens and womans bathrooms located near the entrance to the park, right by the playground. We'll also have a bank of porta-potties on the far end of the field by Stage 2. These bathrooms are cleaned constantly throughout the day, and if at anytime anyone notices a problem with them, let any Community Day staffer know or message us on facebook and we'll get someone right on it.
Can I bring a chair and blanket and watch the entertainment on the stage all day long?
Yes! Bring a chair or blanket, enjoy the entertainment and stake out your spot for the fireworks early!
We'll have a first aid/lost child located between the two fields.
What if my child gets lost?
Please alert any police officer or Community Day Staff Member. Our staff there will initiate our procedure to handle this and we'll get you reunited right away. Please take the bracelet you'll be given upon entering Community Day and place it on your child with an emergency contact phone number on it! Help us help keep you safe! BRACELETS are mandatory for 2019!
